Description: We all know how much students enjoy learning during their summer vacation. But, what if learning was “disguised” as playing games? We all know how much students like playing games during the summer.
Stay Sharp, a unique summer camp experience developed by two local middle school teachers, gets students playing games as a means to prepare them for the upcoming school year. Students will learn and participate in a variety of hand-picked, designer simulations and games, the outcomes of which have practical applications in the classroom and beyond. These aren’t your teacher’s classroom games!
Go beyond flashcards and Buzz and Monopoly. Learn Chicago Express (stock market analysis, multiplication and division), Power Grid (cost/benefit analysis, market fluctuations), Formula D (anticipation, estimation, and ratios)…and that’s just the beginning!
